Nutrient does use soy protein in some of our products. We are continually trying to expand our product/ingredient variety to provide for a wide range of personal preferences. Many of our products contain whey protein for those who personally choose to avoid soy. Our food scientists are confident that soy protein is a great source of protein because it builds new cells, is easily digested in the body, and improves the flavor profile of a lot of foods.
Nutrient also believes that the quality of the protein is one of the most important factors. This means that a protein contains ample amounts of all essential amino acids, and in the right ratios. We only use the best quality protein.
Nutrient is aware some people are concerned that natural components in soy protein negatively affect health, however, there is no clinical evidence supporting such claims.
Soy protein contains naturally occurring components called isoflavones. More than 100 clinical studies show that isoflavones do not adversely affect male health (lower testosterone) or female health (increased risk of breast or Testosterone levels do not go down in men, and estrogen levels do not increase in women after consuming soy protein; here are just a few highly regarded articles regarding the safety of soy:
